Prepare yourself. I want to warn you that I'm going to swear and yell at you a little in this post but it's for your own good.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
You said you needed some motivation and I'm going to do what needs to be done to get your ass in gear.
NO EXCUSES.
If this isn't the kind of motivation you need, go ahead and leave now. You've been warned.
Alrighty then.
Are you ready for some motherfucking motivation right now?!
Do you want to get out of your funk and get some seriously productive shit done today?
Do you want to get off of your ass and start producing instead of wallowing in your depression or fear or whatever is holding you back?
Are you sick of not getting results?
Let's DO THIS.
The point of this article and exercise is to give you the motivation to do something right now. Don't just read this and continue procrastinating.
TAKE ACTION.
Follow The Steps Below
1. Quit Your Bitching.
Nobody cares.
And if you're feeling down or depressed, you might as well stop feeling sorry for yourself. It doesn't help or matter.
Everyone goes through shit. It's how you deal with those obstacles that define who you are and determines how successful you'll be in life.
Did you catch that? It was the secret to life. Seriously.
I'll say it again.
We all face obstacles. It's how you deal with those obstacles that define who you are and determines how successful you are in life.
Tony Robbins calls it your Responsibility — or your ability to respond to what happens to you.
When something doesn't go your way, or worse, something really bad happens, you only have 2 options:
- To let that one thing define you and control your life.
- Or, to let that one thing be the reason you do what you do.
The choice is yours. Period. End of story.
2. Read These Quotes.
Read the quotes below and if you have a favorite quote or two that you always think of, read that too.
“Some people die at 25 and aren’t buried until 75.” – Benjamin Franklin
“Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.” —Charles Swindoll
“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.” —Oprah Winfrey
“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” —Jimmy Dean
“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.” —Les Brown
“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” —Napoleon Hill
“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” —Henry Ford
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.” —Mark Twain
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” —Michael Jordan
“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” —Stephen Covey
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.” —Henry Ford
3. Repeat These Affirmations.
Affirmations, simply put, are positive snippets of speech that are meant to more or less, pump you up.
The video below of a little girl's daily affirmation routine went viral and it's the perfect example of using affirmations.

You should come up with your own affirmations but for the time-being, use the ones below and repeat them 5 times.
I'm dead-serious.
Read the line below out loud to yourself right now at least 5 times.
“I'm motivated. I'm full of energy. I'm determined. I'm proven. I'm talented. I have everything I need to reach my goals. I'm smart.”
Start saying affirmations to yourself every day while you're in the shower. It's a perfect time and in no time, your mind and body will start listening and believing you.
4. Watch This Video

I don’t care if you’ve seen it before. Watch it again.
Tony is my go-to for motivation and I've seen him live 3x and I would recommend it for the ultimate kick in the ass.
5. Set One Goal
Think about what one thing you want to accomplish in the next 24 hours.
Write that one thing down on a sheet of paper.
Don't worry about everything that's holding you back from accomplishing this goal. Instead, focus on the positive things that will happen once you achieve your goal.
For example, if you have to make a Facebook ad, your list might look like this:
- I'll gain practice and experience.
- I'll generate new quality leads.
- I'll turn those leads into a fat commission check.
Now, write down three things on the same sheet of paper. Don't skip this part. Make sure you focus on the 3 most important outcomes.
The Most Important Part
Lock yourself in a room with the thing you need to be doing.
Don’t leave until you make some progress.
Put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, or hammer to the nail.
Stop looking for external motivation. Stop letting yourself procrastinate.
Start going through the motions of making progress. At first it might feel forced, but eventually, you’ll get in the groove.
